This regular meeting was called to order at 6:44pm by Dick Smith.
Minutes – Regular Meeting – 27 May 2008
A motion was made by Russell Marth and seconded by Rick Daniels to approve the minutes as presented. APPROVED 3-0.
Town Plan of Conservation and Development
Nancy Fischbach and Jane Samuels discussed the steps necessary for the implementation of the plan recently adopted by the Planning and Zoning Commission. Copies of the plan were distributed and the steps discussed. The information will be reviewed by the selectmen for future action.
Elementary School Oil Tank Replacement
A motion was made by Dick Smith and seconded by Rick Daniels to add this item to the agenda. APPROVED 3-0.
At the request of the state, the project to remove and replace the school’s heating oil tank, was re-bid. Eight bids were received, ranging in cost from $74,900 to $91,600. The project is eligible for approximately 36% reimbursement from the state.
A motion was made by Rick Daniels and seconded by Russell Marth to accept the bid of CRS Environmental – Wallingford, CT in the amount of $74,900. APPROVED 3-0.
Other Business
The first phase of the Streetscape project has gone out to bid and a pre-bid meeting was held recently, for interested companies. Eight companies have expressed an interest in the project.

There being no further business, a motion was made by Rick Daniels and seconded by Russell Marth to adjourn this meeting. APPROVED 3-0.
